The team at Business Sheffield want to pay tribute to local businesses and encourage people to show their love for the city’s small independent high streets. They commissioned me and three other local artists to create a special tote bag. Each bag features an illustrated design, inspired by Sheffield and celebrating the joys of shopping locally and supporting your community. It’s up to each business how they give away the free bags – whether as gifts for customers who buy certain products or spend certain amounts, as loyalty rewards, or otherwise. Each participating shop will display a poster in their window to let people know they are stocking the bags.
My design celebrates the joys of shopping locally and supporting your community, featuring a happy hand drawn snapshots of treasure loot you might bring home from a days shopping adventures.
